Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC)
Every child deserves a voice that is heard, understood, and celebrated. At Clear Kids, our speech pathologists provide intervention for children with genetic, developmental, congenital, or acquired disabilities. We believe that communication is a fundamental human right, and we work to find the tools that allow your child to express their thoughts, choices, and personality.
We customise systems, and provide ongoing training for a wide range of multi-modal, low-technology, and high-technology AAC systems such as:
- High-Tech Speech Generating Apps: Programming and coaching for software including Proloquo2Go, LAMP and TD Snap.
- Low-Tech & Paper-Based Aids: Tailored communication boards, books, visual schedules, and tools like PECS.
- Unaided Communication Modes: Cultivating functional use of natural gestures, facial expressions, and Key Word Sign (KWS) to ensure your child can communicate using their own body.
- Natural Language Processing: Developing the child’s ability to communicate using natural language.
Neurodivergence (ASD, ADHD)
At Clear Kids, we practice from a neuroaffirming framework. We value the importance of assertive communication, self advocacy, nervous system regulation, and genuine connection. We support autistic, ADHD, and otherwise neurodivergent communication styles to live with authenticity.

- Empowering Families: Providing parents, teachers and caregivers with actionable, strategies to build supportive communication environments.
- Daycare and School Partnerships: Working directly with educators, learning support assistants, and school coordinators to implement visual supports and communication strategies.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: We work closely with your child’s teacher, paediatrician, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to get the best outcomes for them across environments.
- Advocacy Support: We can prepare documentation support for NDIS funding requirements and provide input into curriculum adjustments at school.
