We provide Speech Therapy in Canberra for children 0-18 years. Some families accessing our services receive funding via the following schemes:

  Private Health Insurance

Speech Pathology may be claimable under your private health insurance under your ‘extras cover’ depending on your policy. Please check with your insurance provider to find out if they provide rebates for Speech therapy sessions.

Please let us know at the time of your appointment if you require a receipt for claiming a rebate from your private health insurance provider.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

We can provide speech therapy for children whose families have chosen to Self Manage. If your package is managed by a registered Plan Management Provider and you would like to access our service, please note that we are a private billing clinic for all funding types which means you will need to seek reimbursement after making payment on the day of service. 

We do not currently provide services to Agency Managed clients.

  Medicare

Your child may be eligible for Medicare rebatable sessions (with a gap fee) if your GP finds your child meets the criteria (see below). for a Chronic

Your child may be eligible for 5 Medicare rebateable sessions (with a gap fee) per calendar year if your GP finds your child meets the criteria (see below) for a Chronic Disease Management plan. Click here for more information. 

  • Your child is accessing ongoing care from a multidisciplinary team consisting of their GP and at least two other health or care providers e.g. an Occupational Therapist and Audiologist.
  • Your child has a chronic medical condition which has been (or is likely to be) present for six months or longer e.g. severe speech and language difficulties not eligible for the NDIS etc.

2. M10 Complex Neurodevelopment Conditions and Eligible Disabilities:

Your child may be eligible for 8 assessment sessions/20 therapy sessions per lifetime. These are accessed in blocks of 4 (assessment) and 10 (therapy).

  • Please ensure your GP requests an assessment from us to confirm a diagnosis BEFORE activating the therapy sessions (medicare item number 139) to avoid losing access to the 8 assessment sessions.
  • Eligible diagnoses include; autism, speech sound disorder, stuttering, cleft lip/palate.
